Some people may think that commissioning a full size, fully driveable replica of the Batmobile as seen in the 1989 film Batman Returns.

Car enthusiast Phil Garlick had the car built as a way of promoting his business, after all there is nothing like the Batmobile on the roads of the UK, so it is going to stand out in the crowd.
"My wife and I thought of this when we were trying to come up with something new for the business,” said Phil, 52, of Warrington, Cheshire.
“We wondered, 'What is the best theme car we could have?’
“The whole thing just escalated from there. We thought it was such a wacky idea.
“It’s the shape that’s the appeal - it’s such a sexy-looking car. As soon as you sit in it, you fall in love with it.
“There’s just something about it. There’s so much detail. I love it."
The problem for the couple is that now they have the car of the dreams, naturally they are going to want to give it a test drive. However, because of certain things that were missed out in the design, like indicators and wing mirrors, the car is not road legal.
This is a bit of a blow, because the couple had the idea of renting the Batmobile out for special events etc, but now they are planning on selling the car, so if there are any budding super heroes out there looking for some appropriate transport, then you know where to come.
