Women go without food for shoes
There is a growing concern for millions of women in the UK following a recent report on the research of 4,315 female members of the general public by www.MyCelebrityFashion.co.uk.
It seems that over a third, thirty two per cent would rather go without eating in order to afford the latest fashions. With eighteen per cent of those questioned spending over half their salaries on clothes and accessories.

Even though the UK is in the middle of a credit crunch, spending on fashion is still stable, while spending on other products and services are down proving that there is definitely something wrong there somewhere.
Speaking about the results, Head Fashionista Jill Tovey of MyCelebrityFashion.co.uk said: 'Fashion is clearly still a thriving industry, despite the economy. More people are searching for the best deals and bargains online rather than traipse the high streets, and clearly enjoying themselves whilst doing it!
'With regards to 'fashiorexia', I and MyCelebrityFashion would never advocate eating unhealthily for the sake of fashion, and believe in balance.'
The term Fasiorexia has been coined because there are women who would rather buy clothing and other fashion items than eat. In fact, nearly thirty per cent of those questions said that this diet of not eating in order to afford to but fashion, actually keeps their weight in check.
According to the survey:
34% spend between £100 ($200) and £150 ($300) on food per month, while 71% spend over £150 ($300) on fashion and 16% spend more than half of their wages on fashion items.
