Lords assets to be sold at auction

Lords assets to be sold at auction

There is nothing like an eccentric old Lord and his money, or in this case with no money, but he does have a county pile with waterfront access in Devon, and of course a the tile of The Lord of Warleigh, this is no high class auction as the whole life style of English Lord is for sale on eBay.

The Lord of Warleigh - 58 year old David Piper said: "I am interested in finding out how genuine they are, that is the main problem."

"I am not surprised at the size of the bid, I always intended to get over £3 million," he said.

In actual fact it looks as if the Lord is looking for a Lady, she just has to have enough cash or a rich father!

He said that in addition to the internet bids, he had received many emails from people who were interested in parts of the property offered.

"I have decided, as a result of having this rather advanced prostate cancer, and not having been able to work since January 2007, to have treatment done in London.

"Therefore I will sell everything up down here and move back to London," he said.

Of course, by using eBay this will maximise the possibilities for him, as there are plenty of people around the world who would be interested in this sort of lifestyle.

Lord Warleigh's eBay advert added that the sale "can include David, the existing eccentric Lord of the Manor, physically as well, to a suitable purchaser".

Well it goes without saying that this is one of the strangest lots that has been on sale on eBay, it will be interesting to follow the story and see who eventually ends up with the title, house and maybe even the Lord himself.
